New chapter. Fresh start. New beginning. So many ways to describe the start of a new year! Any way you look at it, so many of us try to start the new year out right. Whether you are making resolutions or goals, I think it’s a great way to start the year out right.
This year, as always, I have some new goals I want to work on and today I am sharing them with you. These goals are a combination of personal and my blog/YouTube channel goals as well.
Why should you have yearly goals?
I think this is an obvious question, but I can answer it in one word, Happy. Everyone wants to be happy and live a happy life. Why not take the time to make that happen? When you set goals, it gives you something to keep you going, make all the happy things in your life happen. Not to say that sometimes it takes really hard work and will not always be easy, but sit down, write them out and do your best to make them happen. Let me share my goals with you.
What can you expect from my blog this year?
For those of you who have been with me since I started my blog, I thank you for your support. I’ve changed and reinvented this blog numerous times over the last few years and I’m doing it again. I want to narrow down more of what my blog will feature, more interest that you seem to really enjoy, and I enjoy writing for you.
My journal stories will still be the focus. I will continue to write all about autism and our autism life. It’s so important for me to share it with you. I want you all to have a better understanding of autism and what the world can do to help those with special needs. Most importantly, despite having autism, our children (and adults) with autism are just like you and me. They want to be loved, share love. They want respect, kindness, and an understanding of their world. I want to bring more of it to share with you.
Cooking and baking have become a huge part of my life this past year with making Disney recipes for the year. I will be continuing that as well as adding more general cooking and baking content and sharing it on my YouTube channel as well. And speaking of YouTube…
What can you expect from my YouTube channel this year?
Confession time – I love doing YouTube videos! No one is more shocked by that then me. I am continuing my Disney recipes, other recipes, more lifestyle content as well. If you haven’t subscribed to my channel, please do so. It really helps me out and I have so many ideas, I would hate for you to miss it.
What’s happening with my social media?
You guys have really blown me away with my social media accounts! The growth I experienced this past year has been so inspiring and I hope to continue growing. I didn’t think I would be adding anything else, but I am now on Tik Tok! In all honesty, I set up this account when my son Alex asked me to have his own account. Not knowing much about it, I decided to keep an eye on him by having my own account as well. I’m still learning everything about it, but please give me a follow over there if you are on Tik Tok too.

What are my personal goals this year?
I don’t usually share much of my own personal goals here on my blog but this year I thought I share a few of them with you. After all, it gives me accountability to stick to them. My biggest goal is to take more breaks. As an autism mom, I am not always good at giving up control long enough to take a break. My family is always willing to help but I never ask for it. I have to learn to ask for help more and it’s okay to take breaks when I need them. This year I hope to ask more, and relax more. I’ll keep you updated on how that is going.
What are you goals for the year?
I’ve shared what I am working on this year, please let me know in the comments below. Did you make new year’s resolutions or are you setting new goals for yourself? I’d love to hear about it.
Finally, if you are not following me on social media, please do! I’d love to have more opportunities to talk with you over on Instagram, Twitter, FaceBook, and now TikTok. Also, if you have not subscribed to my blog, please consider subscribing. I am sharing new things this year and I wouldn’t want you to miss out. Let’s make this a great year!
