I am still having a hard time believing that we are heading back to Disney; or, as I have been referring to it as “Our Mini Disney Trip.” We will not be visiting all the parks this time around and, if you missed my previous post explaining this, you can read it here. I also posted a YouTube video if you prefer to watch.
Since this was a last-minute trip, anything I am purchasing will also be useful for the rest of our Florida vacation. I am trying to stay within a budget. This time around I will not be trying to purchase everything I see on social media! Just because I see something cute, it doesn’t mean I need to bring it with me! That is the other important aspect of planning our trip – not bringing everything, including the kitchen sink, with us! Yes, we are driving and yes, it is so easy to get into the habit of saying, “Oh we can just throw this in the car; if we need it, great, if we don’t, no big deal.” I am here to tell you; it is important! No more of that for this trip! I am packing more intentionally … I hope.
For this trip, I’ve decided that we don’t need to do the whole matching family t-shirt thing! I want us all to be color coordinated, but I want to give the boys a little more freedom in what they want their shirt to say (or not). Of course, I helped Michael and I think he will be happy with his t-shirts. When it came to my husband, I told him the same thing. “I will pick something out. If you want to wear it, fine; if you don’t, that is fine too.” He did tell me, “Whatever you want Joann!” Hehe! For me, I was all over the place. I knew it would be super-hot and I was not sure if I wanted to wear a summer dress or shorts. Although, I finally found the perfect Magic Kingdom t-shirt. It’s the one pictured above and you can find it on Etsy at the TinkerBTeesCo.

I also invested in three more fans. Our last trip was in November and, although it was warm, it will be much hotter in August. I want to be sure we are prepared to deal with the heat. In addition to the fans, we will have cooling towels and, of course, we will be staying hydrated with water!

I will, of course, be taking my favorite Amy’s Small World travel bags in every shape and size I own. I love her bags for traveling! It makes it so easy to organize everything! Having the clear bags is in even better, so you can see what you are taking with you. This time around, I am excited to be using one of her bags for the only pair of Minnie ears I own. These ears were a gift from my best friend almost two years ago and I am finally getting to wear them! I know the ears will be protected in Amy’s medium-size travel bag. If you would like to try purchase these bags, I have a discount code for you to use on your order. You can order Amy’s bags here. Please use code “joannsalas” for 10% off your bag! You are going to love them!
If you would like to see everything I’m taking to Disney, please watch my latest YouTube video. I’ll be showing you all the t-shirts, fans and travel bags up close and personal! I can’t believe we are only 17 days away! I am so excited to share this trip with you and I hope you will follow along here on my blog and my YouTube channel.
