When we left Disney in 2019, I honestly did not think we would return any time soon; but, three years later is a little longer than I anticipated. Things happen that are out of your control; however, here we are planning our next trip. Although this trip will be a mini (I will explain in a minute), the excitement of what’s to come, is really keeping us going!
If you had told me a few months ago that we would be planning to go back to Disney this summer, I would not have believed you. This was a last minute, impulsive decision that, honestly, my husband came up with! I thought he was kidding when he mentioned it to me, but I quickly realized he was serious. You do not have to ask me twice! YES!! Of course I want to go to Disney!!
Our original plan was to use our points for a Wyndham Resort in Disney Springs. We knew that it would only be for a couple of nights and choosing just two parks to visit was so hard! Alex really wanted to see Hollywood Studios again, but my heart was with the Magic Kingdom. We all decided the second park would be Animal Kingdom. Happily, we were able to convince Alex that there was so much he did not get to see at the Magic Kingdom on our last visit, (specifically, Space Mountain). This solidified Magic Kingdom as our second park to visit.
Now that we decided on the two parks, deciding on where to stay was something my husband and I went back and forth on. We wanted to keep this trip within a budget that we had came up with. Disney was giving such great discounts for the summer months, we were being persuaded to try a value resort this time around. I decided to go ahead and at least get a quote. Who knows, right?! Could it work out for us? I’m thrilled to say it did! After comparing what it would cost to purchase our tickets, even with our points discount at the Wyndham, there was not much of a difference. That, my friends, was music to my ears! We are going to be staying at the All-Star Movie Resort and I could not be happier to be staying on Disney property!
My entire family will not be joining us this time around, but my sister-in-law, Yvette and brother-in-law Angel, will be joining us and staying at the same resort. I’m so happy they are coming too! They are always so much fun and the boys love them!
As of today, we have 24 days until our Disney trip; however, we have two countdowns. Our first countdown is when we are leaving for Florida. We spend two weeks every year at my mother-in-law’s home in August. We will be leaving for Florida in fifteen short days! That will be here before we know it. We drive down and, although our drive in April was a little rough, I am hoping for a smooth ride there and back. You never know what the traffic will be like.
Just as I did with our Disney trip in 2019, I plan to write more blog posts about our trip, preparations, dining reservations and general plans. This time around I will also be sharing everything on my YouTube channel. You can watch my YouTube video here. If you have not subscribed to my blog or YouTube channel, I invite you to take a moment to do so now. I do not want you to miss a thing! I appreciate your support as always. Let me know in the comments below if you are planning a Disney vacation and what your countdown currently is! I would love to hear from you!
