I can’t believe this day has finally arrived! As I sit here in our car driving along the NJ turnpike, I’m so excited to see what the week has in store for us. I’m wondering how my boys will react to everything. How will Michael be? Is it going to be too much or overwhelming for him? All I can hope for is a positive experience for all of us. Our day has finally arrived! It’s travel day!
We didn’t leave as early as we had expected but it’s not late enough to where we will be too far behind. Tonight, we will be staying overnight in South Carolina. I made a reservation at a different hotel than where we normally stay. I just hope it’s okay.
A few hours have passed and we are just about to drive into North Carolina. We’ve been making really good time and have had relatively no traffic. The boys have been good, keeping themselves busy with their tablets. It seems strange not having Maggie here with us but I will say it’s a lot easier without her. I do miss her already and I hope she’s ok for Brittany this week.
We just arrived at our hotel for the night and I’m so ready to go to sleep. It’s been a long day and I can’t wait to get to our rental home tomorrow!
Travel day two!

Today is the day! Finally getting to see our rental house in person! I’m just as excited to see the house as I am to see Disney! It took me so long to find the perfect house to accommodate all of us and be close enough to Disney; I just hope it’s ok!
If we don’t have any issues with traffic, we should be there about 2:00pm. I’m going to try to find a supermarket close enough to the house so we can pick up our groceries first. I hope we get there before the rest of my family because I’d really like to take some video before we wreck the joint. Hehe!
Ok we are finally here and hitting the Walmart first. I made a quick shopping list on my phone so we can get in and out quickly.

We finally arrived at our rental home about 4:00PM, just in time for check in! We were able to get in the house before the rest of our family arrived, so I was able to take some video of the home. I’ll share it on Instagram. The house was beautiful! It was the perfect size and location to accommodate all of us. Everyone enjoyed it! Although we had our own pool and hot tub in the yard, we were able to enjoy the other amenities the complex had to offer. There was a larger club pool, a lazy river, game room, gym and restaurant as well!
Once our family arrived, everyone was doing their own thing. Some started cooking dinner and a few of us wasted no time getting into the pool! The rest of our arrival day was spent talking and planning our next day at Animal Kingdom. We were all so excited; our Disney trip was finally happening!
