When it comes to planning and prepping for a Disney trip, YouTuber Blair Lamb has been a great resource for me and others during our planning stage. In one of her videos, Disney trip pre-packing haul, she explains how she keeps a bin or bag of special things she purchases while planning her trip that she wants to take on her trip. She explains, whether its toiletries, clothing items or a special pair of ears, this tip sounded like a great way for me to prepare as well.
I started my Disney bin in March last year. Although I started with a small wicker basket, I will have to upgrade to something larger soon. I’ve started accumulating a great deal of stuff for our trip. Today I thought I would share with you what I’ve been collecting so far.
So, I may have gone a little overboard with purchasing some things I don’t necessarily “need” for my trip. Last year when Target released Disney inspired everything, this Disney nut had to go out and pick up a few things. I kept telling myself, “I need this for my trip.” So maybe Disney hand lotion isn’t a necessity, but it sure was cute packaging and I’m a sucker for cute packaging. Target also had a whole line of Disney toiletry bags that of course was something I had to pick up because the toiletry bag I’ve been using for the last few years just wasn’t good enough. Again, who can walk away from a clear vinyl bag with Mickey Mouse all over it?
I found an Etsy Disney Pin shop called Binny Mouse Shop by accident (yes, by accident) and I was immediately in love with their Disney pins. So, I went ahead and picked up a few of their pins and my idea was I’m going to wear them on my backpack, shirts, hats, etc. Once again, I needed these for my trip.
Speaking of Etsy, not only does Blair Lamb have a YouTube channel, she is also an Etsy shop owner as well. As luck would have it, her shop, Blair Lamp Design, featured her own line of Disney inspired T-shirts that I of course had to have.
I also came across Amy’s Small World shop. Her shop features all kinds of toiletry bags, small to large, in a variety of Disney patterns. I fell in love with these bags and while I only have one, I’m itching to buy the rest of the set if I can before we leave.
My biggest addition to my Disney pre-haul is all the Disney related items I received as Christmas gifts this year. I am so happy to share that many of the items I featured in my Disney Christmas wish list were purchased. My dad picked up the Ainope 10000mAh Portable Charger and the rain ponchos . He also brought back for me a Disney baseball cap with Minnie ears and the Nutcracker Mystery pin boxes from a quick trip he made to Disney during December. My boys really surprised me by giving me the Loungefly backpack and wallet, the portable fan and the Disney hoodie. I also bought myself a Christmas present this year as well. I went ahead and ordered the 12 days of Disney Advent Socks from Kohl’s.
I am well on my way to having everything I will need for our Disney trip. Of course, I am sure I’ll be adding some more things to my Disney pre-trip haul as I go along. I’ll be sure to share them with you as we move along this year.

Wow, I better catch up! lol
Yes! I’ll share with you. 🙂
Yay! I’m so glad your dad found the Nutcracker pins! I looked several places at WDW and couldn’t find them! Can you post a pic to show what they look like?
Looks like you’re collecting quite a haul! So much fun and I’m excited for you!
Hi Melanie,
Yes, I was so happy he found the pins. Yes, I’ll send you the pictures too. I’m so excited, I can’t wait to go.
