I’m so excited to kick off my Disney recipes for a year series! A couple of weeks ago I ran a poll over on my Instagram account, to see which category you wanted me to start with and you all went with Disney snacks! Today, we are starting with a more traditional Disney snack, Magic Kingdom’s Mickey Sugar Cookies! I’m all about snacks, so I was happy to start with this.

This recipe is from The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook, by Ashley Craft. I will be sharing the pictures and a printable recipe below. I’m also going to do my best to take some video of the process and that will be shared over on my YouTube channel. I had all the ingredients to make the cookies in my kitchen, except the Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutters. I ordered this set from Amazon, and I have to say they are large! The recipes call for 3 dozen, but with the size of these cutters, I’m guessing it maybe a little less then what is suggested. I will share links to what I can down below. Now, let’s start making some magical recipe

Mickey Sugar Cookies
Equipment
- Cookie or Baking Sheet
- Cookie Wire Rack
- Mickey Cookie Cutter
- Hand Mixer
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Rainbow Sprinkles
- 1 1/2 Cups Salted Butter
- 1 1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3 3/4 Cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Tsps Baking Powder
- 1 Tsp Salt
Instructions
- Preheat over to 350. Place sprinkles in a small bowl and set aside. Line an ungreased baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, add butter and sugar. Using the flat beater attachment, cream together well. Add eggs and vanilla and combine. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons dough into your hands and roll into a ball. Place on prepared baking sheet and flatten a little with the bottom of a glass. If you have a Mickey cookie cutter, use it now to make a Mickey Shape, discarding the extra dough around the edges. Lightly dot top of cookie with sprinkles ,pressing sprinkles into dough a bit. Repeat with remaining dough.
- Bake until bottoms just barely brown, about 15 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly on the sheet, about 10minutes, before moving cookies to a cooling rack. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. **This recipe is from “The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook,by Ashley Craft.
Notes

I really enjoyed making these cookies! They were delicious! The recipe was easy to follow and really didn’t take long to make from prep to decorating. Speaking of decorating, my rainbow sprinkles mysteriously disappeared, ( I found out later, my kids were using them on their ice cream! ) so I just sprinkled the cookies with powdered sugar and it was just as good! I did take some footage of the whole process and I am happy to be able to share this with you over on my YouTube channel! Please be sure to check it out, comment, subscribe and give it a thumbs up! I appreciate your support as I start this new journey!
