I think our Disney trip is beginning to feel more real now that we were able to reserve our FastPasses! I tried not to get too worked up over getting the ones I really wanted because I know we are reserving ours just 30 days before. I already expected to have very slim pickings, but I’m so happy to report that I was able to get a few that I really wanted!
As of today, we had our FastPasses for Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. This morning was the “big day,” as my sister-in-law and I like to call it, for grabbing what we could for the Magic Kingdom. So, let me share what we were able to get!
Animal Kingdom
Meet Favorite Disney Pals At Adventurers Outpost – I was so happy we were able to grab this one! Originally, I had made reservations for a character breakfast at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. I decided to try to concentrate on seeing characters throughout the day rather than spending the time and money at a breakfast that my son, Alex, more than likely will not eat. This one is perfect because we get to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse!
Kilimanjaro Safaris – I’m so excited about this one! If you read my Animal Kingdom goals, you know the safari was one of them. I think the boys will really enjoy this and I know I will!
Na’vi River Journey – Would I have preferred Flight of Passage? Yes, of course; but, it’s all good because I wanted to see this as well. This appears to be a perfect, relaxing afternoon ride for us.
Epcot
The Seas with Nemo & Friends – I was so happy to be able to get FastPasses for attractions that I haven’t seen before. My boys have a huge attraction to the water, sea creatures and Nemo. This one will be a hit for sure!
Turtle Talk with Crush – Another one that I have not seen and it sounds adorable. I’m so happy that Epcot has some attractions that will be appropriate for the boys’ age group. I can’t wait to watch their reactions and interactions with Crush!
Soarin’ Around the World – YES! This is the one FastPass I was really hoping to get. I was obsessing over this ride so much that the night before booking our FastPasses, I actually had a dream about it. In my dream, my son, Michael, fell off the ride! It was kind of strange (as most dreams are) as he was only a few inches from me! I was able to reach down and grab him! Then I woke up! Crazy!!
Hollywood Studios
Voyage of The Little Mermaid – The Little Mermaid is one of my favorites and, if you saw my Instagram post a few weeks ago, you’ll remember that my hair was close in color to Ariel’s at one time! I’m looking forward to this and I’m so happy we were able to get a FastPass.
Star Tours – The Adventure Continues – I honestly don’t know much about this ride but, if it is Star War’s related, I’m sure it’s good. This is probably as close as we will get to Star Wars this trip.
Toy Story Mania – This is the one ride I have been telling my son, Alex, all about! He keeps telling me to stop spoiling it for him (hee-hee!) but I can’t help it! I just know this is the one ride that Alex will not want to get off of!
Magic Kingdom
The Barnstormer – I had no idea this ride even existed. With all of my research, watching thousands of YouTube videos, how did I miss this one? I had to go back to YouTube to check it out. It seems harmless to me and it’s a short quick ride. My kind of roller coaster – kid’s coaster or not!
The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh – Another one that I never had a chance to ride and am really looking forward to.
Peter Pan’s Flight – One of my favorites in Fantasyland and I can’t wait to see it again!
So, that is everything we were able to get FastPasses for! I realize that FastPasses may open up before we go; and, we can add more while there after we use our first three. I’m very happy with everything thus far. This makes our trip seem so much more real – finally! I’d like to say it went fast but, after counting down from day 270 to currently day 23, it’s been a long time coming! I’m excited and nervous, hoping everything works out and that our entire family has a great time.
I do plan on writing more Disney planning pre-trip posts over the last few weeks before we leave. I may even do a little packing video on IGTV! We shall see!
