It has been about five months now since I started my Beauty Goals for 2019 and I thought I would check in and let you all know how I’m doing. Back in January, I was thinking about how much make-up I have accumulated and realizing there was no way I could possibly use it all. I started to declutter and set a new goal for 2019. My goal was to refrain from purchasing any new make-up products for the year. I decided the only thing I can purchase was to replenish a product I ran out of.
Surprisingly, I have been doing pretty good! I don’t know how but I made it through the Ulta 21 days of beauty and Sephora’s VIB sale without purchasing anything new. Let me tell you that was difficult! But seriously, I did it! I think this is the first year in a long time I didn’t jump on that bandwagon and order a bunch of things I really don’t need. Oddly enough, it feels good to say that.
However, I’m so glad I didn’t go overboard and include skin, hair, and body care products in my beauty goal challenge because I would have never been able to do it.
I did a little shopping at Target recently and picked up a few things. I thought I would split up my purchases and share the beauty products with you today and later in the week, I’ll share all my other goodies with you. Oh and I was good, walked right past the make-up aisles…ugh.

Although I will never give up on my Garnier SkinActive Clean+ Soothing Makeup Removing Cleansing Towelettes, when I walked by and noticed the price on these, I did a double take.
Unscented Facial Cleansing Wipes – 30ct – Smartly – First, at .99 a pack, I can’t believe the price! I figured I would have nothing to lose in trying these. I’m happy to report that they do work. Maybe not as wet as some of the other cleansing wipes, but these are great! I love that they are for sensitive skin, have no perfumes, paraben free and hypoallergenic. I had a $5 gift card from Target from a previous promotion and I used the entire 5 bucks on these wipes. I can’t wait to try the other Smartly products.
Bliss What a Melon De-Stressing Overnight Mask – I know that sheet masks are very popular, but I just can’t stand them. They are painful to apply, if they are too wet, it’s dripping in your eyes. I just don’t like them. So, when I came across the Bliss display, their masks caught my eye. I picked up this one, based on the name alone. Melon and De-stressing, perfect. I also love the fact that you can sleep in it. The best part is how my skin looked when I woke up. It’s very light and hydrating.
Suave Essentials Creamy Cocoa Butter and Shea Body Wash – I love many of the Suave products and this body wash is great dupe for Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar. It smells great and has a really nice lather to it. I also love their coconut body wash too!
Batiste Clean & Classic Original Dry Shampoo – I’ve been having a hard time finding a dry shampoo that really works for me. Many of the ones I have tried made my scalp itch, left a white residue and I don’t think it makes a difference in cleaning my hair. So I’ve heard a lot about this brand, and after trying a sample, I was impressed. When I use it, my hair seems fresh and it’s not weighted down. It’s also lightly scented. I’d recommend giving this one a try if you still haven’t found the right one for you.
So, how are you doing with your beauty goals so far? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear!

Hi Joann, I have to admit I wasn’t so good with my 2019 beauty goals. I whined
up purchasing a new foundation that was advertised on Facebook I’m a sucker
when it comes to foundations. I also purchased a face primer which came as a stick
from Hard Candy called coconut cool again I’m a sucker with anything coconut.
So I was not good. Now that I have a gift card from Ulta I will be buying more
I’m a makeup junckie. 😜😜😜😜
Love,
Aunt Chris ❤️❤️❤️❤️
