Day 10 – Christmas Kindness
A few weeks ago, one of my favorite beauty influencers, Lisa J., started a beauty community kindness tag on her YouTube channel. If you are a frequent visitor to the YouTube beauty influencer’s community, you know it’s been a little rough over there lately. I love the idea that Lisa wanted to highlight all the good in the community, so I thought I would do a crossover in the blog community as well. Before I share some of my favorite blog websites and Youtubers, I wanted to talk a little bit about Lisa and how she inspired me to start my blog.
I found Lisa over a year ago when searching for all kinds of beauty tutorials. She was one of the first channels I stumbled on and I haven’t looked back since. She is genuinely a sweet person and has taught me so much about make-up, skin, hair care and setting personal goals. Not only can I finally do a wing liner, but she convinced me that in order to be a better wife, mom and friend, I needed to invest in myself. So, after watching her yearly goals video last January, I knew it was time for a change. After a lot of thinking (and I mean a lot), I realize that I should choose my vice wisely. Fast forward to October and my blog was born. I have along way to go in my personal development, but she encouraged me and I’m grateful for her kindness. Please go say hello to Lisa and find out for yourself how wonderful she is.
August of this year, Blair Lamb from Blairblogs.com announced she would be opening spots in the Fall for her blog mentorship program. I knew it was either now or never, so I went for it. I can’t say enough about her program and how much I have learned and continue to learn. She guided me the entire way and has been such a pleasure to work with. Blair also has a YouTube channel and her content is topnotch (as it is with her blog). I recommend you go check out her blog and YouTube channel to find out for yourselves just how enjoyable she is.
Also, from YouTube, All Beauty by Sarah. Sarah gives the most detailed review of beauty products I’ve ever seen. If there is a new product out there, she does her best to put it to the test and she’ll be sure to inform her subscribers of how the product worked out for her. Sarah is the first beauty influencer on YouTube that I ever watched. One of the first searches I did was to learn how to cover your dark circles (oh hello, fellow sleep-deprived mamas) and her techniques did the trick. Please go show Sarah some love, she’s such a sweet lady and you’ll be so impressed with her reviews.
The last beauty influencer on YouTube I wanted to talk about is Shelbey Wilson. I love her channel and her blog. She is so down to earth and a pleasure to watch. She has a great sense of humor and I love her realistic approach to make-up, her clothing style, and her home décor. I love that her make-up tutorials are wearable every day looks. She concentrates on highlighting her own skin, rather than covering it up. She always provides videos that keep it real, and she is so good at explaining how to apply Bare Mineral products the right way. I also love that you occasionally get to see her adorable dogs in the background. Please go say hello to Shelbey. She’s a lot of fun.
Recently, Lauren, from StartwithLauren.com launched her blog. I’ve really been enjoying her content as well. She is so relatable, and a great writer. She is a fellow book lover; dog mom and she also launched her YouTube channel as well.
There are so many blogs and YouTube channels that are enjoyable. These are only a few of my favorites that I wanted to share some Christmas Kindness with. Do you have any favorite bloggers or YouTubers? I’d love to hear from you!
