It’s the little things… November favorites

I can’t believe we are one day away from December. This time of the year always seems to speed up as we get closer to Christmas. As many of us are starting to do our holiday shopping, everyone is becoming more stressed and life is hectic. These are the little things that I enjoyed during the month of November. Maybe there is something here to help keep your holidays stress-free.

Home & Home Décor

Rubbermaid Commercial Deluxe Carry Cleaning Caddy, Black: I first was introduced to this by YouTuber, Blair Lamb. She spoke about it in one of her videos and how helpful it was to her while cleaning throughout her house. I couldn’t agree more. I can put all my cleaning supplies in the caddy, making it easier to go from room to room. It also stores easily under the bathroom sink.

Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner Honeysuckle 16 fl oz: I am new to Mrs. Meyers products but this is one that I am absolutely loving. I am sensitive to a lot of cleaning products and the scents, but this honeysuckle scent is a winner for me. If you are sensitive to the scents of strong cleaning products, I recommend giving this one a try.

Bath & Beauty

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream, Natural 05, 1.18 oz: On most days, I am wearing this as my foundation. Although its technically not a foundation, it’s more a tinted moisturizer, I love the way my skin looks when wearing it. It’s very hydrating like it states but gives your skin a nice healthy look. I wouldn’t say it gives me a full coverage finish, but this can be used in conjunction with their BareMinerals powder foundation or even as a primer under your full coverage foundation. This is the only make-up product I have ever purchased repeatedly. I’m currently on my fourth tube and I don’t see me ever giving this one up.

Physician’s Formula SPF 30 Super InstaReady BB cream: If you are looking for a little more coverage than the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue but still have a natural looking finish, this BB cream is for you. On days when I want more coverage, but not interested in a full coverage foundation, this is my go-to. It really makes your skin look natural, covers and evens out your complexion. I’ve been using this all month, sometimes on top of a regular primer or over the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue, it just looks so beautiful on your skin.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick, Dulce Carmelo: I purchased this back in October, but this has been my go-to lipstick since then. I love it! It’s a very nice nude neutral color that has a nice shine, not drying and very comfortable to wear. If you are looking for a new nude lipstick, give this shade a try. I have several Milani Lip products and I haven’t been disappointed with any of them.

Brandless Lemon Verbena Body Scrub: As I mentioned last month, I love body scrubs and this month I finally tried the Brandless Lemon Verbena body scrub. The smell is amazing and leaves your skin feeling very soft. The scent is so refreshing, I like to use it in the morning to really wake me up. If you haven’t heard of the company Brandless, this company is a little different than most, as it focuses on being a company of quality products at a fair price driven by its community values. They offer a variety of products all priced at only $3 and for each $3 purchase, the company will donate a meal to Feeding America. I have a referral link below that will get you $9 off your first order of $39.00 or more. That’s 3 free products to try and plus they will donate a meal for every purchase made.

Entertainment Books, TV & Movies

Hallmark channel Christmas movies: I love watching Christmas movies and the Hallmark channel never disappoints. This year, I am determined to watch as many as I can, so I went ahead and downloaded the app on my phone to keep track of the ones I watched. I know what you are thinking, how do you find the time to watch them? So, truth be told, I’ve only seen two of the new movies. I’ve been able to catch bits and pieces along the way, but my favorite one so far this season is “Christmas at Pemberley Manor.”  If you get some time at all this holiday season, try to catch this one.

My last favorite I wanted to share with you is the good news we received from Michael’s school case worker. We learned that my son was approved for an assisted communication device through his school district. I am so happy that he will be receiving his device in the next few weeks and training will start in December. His device will be an IPAD along with specific software to teach Michael how to communicate his needs and wants. This will give him a voice to be able to interact with his friends and family. Not only will he learn to communicate with it, it may help him speak as well. We are very excited about this new phase of Michael’s life and I will be writing and sharing our experience along the way.

Did you have any favorites from November? I would love to hear what made the month special for you.
